BHC SERENITY PLACE (REHABILATION CENTRE)
This an old ward which was renovated into a Rehabilitation Centre.
The ward has a Bed capacity of 30 but currently has 24 beds available. It would render services to only male clients for now.

DEFINITION OF REHABILATION
Ø Restoration to good health or a useful life, through support, therapy and/or education.
Ø The process of quitting drinking or substance abuse and learning how to remain abstinent.
Ø Rehabilitation: re-learning or re-establishing healthy functioning, skills and values as well as regaining physical and emotional health.
Ø Habilitation: learning for the first time (those who have never acquired functional life style) the behavioral skills, attitudes and values associated with socialized living
WHO NEEDS REHABILITATION?
Anyone with a substance use dependence “ADDICT” including alcohol, marijuana, heroin, cocaine, pethidine, opioids, inhalants, sedatives, other drugs.
It must be voluntary and client should be willing to participate in the treatment.
However, some relatives go for court orders for clients who need it but refuse to enroll. (though not advisable).
